When I heard Sleek were releasing their highly pigmented blushers in a ’3 palette’ I knew I had to get my grubby, make-up covered, paws on them! I searched high & low in various Superdrug stores but had no luck. Then my beautiful cousin Kuki, from the blog KT Cyrus & Ruby Woo, came to the rescue & sent me the Sleek Blush by 3 in Lace.

You can now get these online from Sleek’s website which I find much better to use as they rarely have products I’m looking for in store.

Being a fan on pinks & coral blushers, I was drawn to ‘Lace’. They look so pretty in pictures but even better in real life!

I’ve been wearing this whenever the sun is out… I know, I know. It’s barely been out these days but I know this will be one of my go-to-shades during the summer (if we ever get one!) Here’s some swatches…

I’ve had this for a while now & do love using it. When I say they’re SUPER-DUPER PIGMENTED, I seriously mean it! I have to apply these with a duo fibre brush else I look like a bit of a clown. However, the colours are gorgeous! This is one of those products that will last you a very long time. If you’re a blush virgin, I’d totally recommend these. They give you a nice range of colours to experiment with. Personally, I’ve been using a mixture of all 3 on my cheeks to give me a natural peachy flush

Have you tried any of the Sleek Blush by 3? What are your favourite Sleek products? I’m not a fan of their pout polishes/tinted lip balms, they have the most foul taste, they make me want to vom. But their lip sticks, contour kit & blushers have to be my favourites!

I love applying my concealer with a brush. It’s mess free, quick & easy. What more could you want, right? So, I come today with a speedy review of one of the most loved MAC brushes, the 224 tapered blending brush & it’s uncanny twin, the Sigma E40.

At over double the price, they look very similar! Both have a fairly fluffy brush to blend eye shadows, or my favourite, concealer blending! They both did malt hairs the first handful of times that I used them, but one wasn’t more than the other.

As you can see the the Sigma brush is slightly longer than the MAC, which to me is on the uncomfortable side of things when you’re blending away. Personally, I LOVE the feel of the MAC 224.

One slight (but major) difference in these brushes has to be the DENSITY of the hairs. The MAC is far more STRUCTURED to the Sigma which again is another reason why I prefer it for my concealer.

I use the 224 for my concealer on a daily basis without fail & the E40 for blending eye shadows. I would totally recommend the MAC 224 as a concealer brush. However, if you don’t want to spend over £20 & don’t mind the density factor or handle, the Sigma E40 does the job. I mean for less than £10, you can’t really complain… Can you? Saying that, it’s a great brush for blending eye shadows! If you’re not after a concealer brush, then E40 is a must have!

So all in all…

MAC 224 = GREAT concealer brush!
Sigma E40 = GREAT eye shadow blending brush!

High Beam by Benefit RRP £18.50 – I’ve had this for ages. It’s from a sample I got in a magazine. Goes to show how long this really lasts. Great texture & blends in beautifully into your skin. I mainly use this on my cheek bones.

Watt’s Up by Benefit RRP £24.50 – Read by review of this HERE. But I adore this champagne highlighter. I’d say it’s more on the bronze side of things. It looks great on Asian clothes & when you’re wearing black. I love a good gold & black combination.

Polished by Topshop (limited edition, roughly £10) – This is most probably my favourite Topshop make-up purchase. I’m super gutted that it was limited edition as I use this sparingly because I don’t want it to run out. Little goes a long way. It’s has the creamiest yet lightest texture & smells so good that you gotta refrain your self from licking it… Only me then? Ah, well!

Skin Glow by Topshop RRP £10 – I tend to use this with my foundation. It gives my skin a gorgeous glow to it with any foundation (I prefer to mix it with my MAC Face & Body). I love the iridescent finish of it.

Icing by Daniel Sandler RRP £12 – These water colours by Daniel Sandler have been raved & raved by beauty bloggers & damn skippy they should be! My favourite out of the ones I own is this. It’s got a beautiful shimmery pink look to it. I love wearing it with Hoola by Benefit.

Here’s what they look like in normal day light. Beautiful! I only introduced highlighters into my make-up regime about a year ago. I don’t know what I’d do without them now.

I still want to try MAC’s Lustre drops & the NARS multiples. What are your favourite highlighters? Any that I should add to my mental wishlist?

I thought I’d share my first Illamasqua polish with you all. The lovely team, sent me a few bits from their new ‘Human Fundamentalism’ collection to try & this definitely was the product which stuck out the  most to me. I’m generally quite picky when it comes to purple nail varnishes & ‘STANCE‘ hits the nail on the head!

It’s a beautiful creamy fuchsia with neon undertones. If you know me, I love bright polishes!  I’m an ORLY girl at heart but Illamasqua definitely did a great job! It’s super easy to apply & fairly pigmented too! It’s a really hard colour to photograph which is why I’ve taken a picture with flash from my iPhone so you can see just hot bright the polish is.

Do you see what I mean about it being BRIGHT? It’s slightly higher priced than I normally pay for a polish however saying that, there are some colours I’ve got my eye on from Illamasqua, Lament, Nomad & Collide to name a few I would definitely opt for these rather than MAC polishes, that’s for sure. Their collections are amazing to say the least which is why I will be keeping an eye out for them!

Happy Sunday, dolls. Hope you’re all having a good weekend – it goes too quickly! The lovely people from L’Oreal recently sent me their new eye collection & thought I’d review it for you all. It consists of a mascara, liquid liner & a gel liner.

False Lash Telescopic Mascara – RRP £10.99
Gel Intenza Eyeliner – RRP £8.99
Superliner Perfect Slim – RRP £6.49

False Lash Telescopic Mascara (RRP £10.99) - I’m not a huge fan of Cheryl Cole who is the face of this mascara, but big props to her and L’Oreal giving us a TRUE representation of the product in their advert!! They didn’t use ‘lash inserts’ – woohoo!

This mascara comes nicely packaged in a ‘telescope’ like silver tube. The wand is a rubber wand (if you know what I mean!) with a slight curve. In a weird way, it’s actually different to pretty much every mascara I have ever owned. Imagine, They’re Real by Benefit without the volume… Perfect for everyday wear. I have been asked if I’ve been wearing a pair of falsies when I’ve worn this. Below are some pictures of my lashes before & after wearing the product.

As you can see from the pictures, it clearly lifts, curls & lengthens my lashes. This is perfect for me as a daily wear mascara. It’s not too much & not too little. I hate wearing mascara when it doesn’t do anything to my lashes & this is far from that! I would totally buy this or recommend it to anyone looking for a daily wear mascara.

Next on to the liners…

Gel Intenza Eyeliner in black (RRP £8.99) – Love the packaging of this gel liner, black, gold & glass totally go! This gel liner is incredibly smooth & creamy. With the help of the brush it comes with (which is REALLY GOOD!) it applies like a dream for when I’m after a thin or thick lined eye. L’Oreal claim that it lasts for up to 24 hours – this for me is not true. It does last all day however it does crumble towards the end of the day if I end up touching the product. Personally, I would actually get the ‘black gold’ colour as it looks gorgeous & isn’t something which is out there in the high-street gel liner market! If you’re after a gel liner from a drugstore, I would recommend Maybelline but I HATE the brush in that. So, if you don’t mind that it can get dry towards the end of the day this would be ideal for you.

Superliner Perfect Slim (RRP £6.49) – This ‘superliner’ is probably my favourite out of the collection. This does not crumble for me at the end of the day & is great for all kinds of eye liner styles! Price wise, it doesn’t break the bank also. Usually, I don’t like the ‘felt tip’ nib but this is extremely precise & is amazing for getting my eye liner just how I want it

Below are some swatches & what the products look like on my eyes – I am also wearing the L’Oreal mascara in the pictures as well… LOVE how long it makes my lashes look!

I have used the mascara the most & the gel liner the least. Saying that, I will be getting the ‘Black Gold’ gel liner with my Boots points (as soon as I have enough!) LOL. Personally, I would recommend the mascara & super liner to those who want natural looking lashes & a precision eye liner look!
