YSL Touche Éclat Foundation Review

Happy Sunday chick peas! How are you all doing? This time last week I met up with some of the girls for a sneaky little shopping trip to the Bull Ring. Alisha (from UnLeeshd) & I thought we’d see if the new Le Teint Touche Éclat foundation by YSL was out & to our surprise it had launched into Selfridges on that exact day… We took this as a sign & snapped a bottle up each. I’ve been using it for a week now & I think it’s time to review the Touch Éclat foundation!

YSL Le Teint Touche Éclat foundation – £28 (currently exclusive to Selfridges HERE)

Personally, I thought the foundation would have been around £35-40 so price range is spot in comparison to other foundations. The packaging is GORGEOUS! A thick glass bottle & with the iconic gold accents on the lid & pump.

Which brings me onto the pump! I’m SO glad that this comes with a pump. I have actually disliked foundations in the past purely because of the lack of pump! The foundation is available in 22 different shades, & they’re divded into 3 categories; Rosy Beige (BR), Golden Beige (BD) & Natural Beige (B) – I am shade BD50. There should be a shade to suite all skin tones :)

It’s a GEL based foundation & free from opaque powders, not to mention that it’s also got LIQUID GOLD in the formula! All these properties gives you a truly ILLUMINATING glow to the skin! Because it’s gel based it feels thick but when buffed out into the skin, it’s light as a feather. It also smells like watermelon – LOVE!

As you can see from the picture above, it really is ILLUMINATING. It almost makes your skin look like its illuminating from within ;) I’d say that it’s light (but buildable) to medium coverage. It’s super natural looking. If you like full coverage, this foundation isn’t for you. If you want something light that blurs out imperfections & illuminates your skin, this has your name written all over it!!

It’s the perfect ‘my skin but better’ foundation! It doesn’t last all day & does feel slightly oily towards the end of the day, but that tends to happen to me with gel based foundations. Overall, I absolutely LOVE this foundation & would totally recommend it to everyone! It evens out your skin & gives you a beautiful glow in just 2 pumps! Great timing for release as I know I’ll be wearing this all through summer.

Will you be getting your hands on the Touche Éclat foundation?! Are you a fan of YSL beauty products? I sure am!! I really want to get my hands on the YSL BB cream next :)

So glad you’ve done a review on this! Gutted you didn’t think it lasted all day! :(
I was just wondering what was the best way to apply it? xx

    • Kaushal says:

It lasts a good 9/10 hours for me, which is more than enough (personally). The best way to apply is it definitely with your fingers :) it warms the product up & gives you a natural finish!

I’m so excited about this foundation!!! Did it oxidise at all?

  10. Caitlin says:

I used to have the EXACT same problem. I went to a professional and got it fixed. The problem is that nobody’s ever heard of it. I’m desperate for a review or some input. It looks awesome but I’m not a blogger.

This is what I use. It lasts all day and doesn’t get greasy:

Sorry, that was a really scatter brained comment! This is why I don’t blog. haha! Okay, so, better put:

      1. I used to have the same problem with gel foundations.
      2. I went to a professional for help.
      3. I got Glymed Plus.
      4. Nobody’s heard of it or has reviewed it, but it’s GREAT!

P.S. You look gorgeous as always! X

  12. Priya says:

Really want to try this one! I’m Indian and fair skinned like you and have my engagement do coming up and really want a new foundation. I’ve been using Dior Nude foundation for a while now. Have you tried that one? If so, which is better?

    Thanks x

    • Kaushal says:

Hi Priya! Thanks for your comment :) personally, I’ve not tried any Dior foundations. However, this YSL one has becom a firm favourite of mine, it’s flawless & perfect (especially when I’m going to Indian dos!) YSL are really good with samples so I would recommend getting a sample before you splurge – I hope that helps x

  13. Priya says:

Will definitely try and grab a sample. Love that it is glowy like my Dior one. Thank you x
